Near to Alfriston village and around 10 miles to Eastbourne, Glyndebourne and Lewes, the cottages are well located for business guests and for a short breaks away to recharge the system.
The two cottages are a well crafted restoration of grade 2 listed barns with great character. The under slate floor heating and antique pine furniture are complemented by a fitted oak kitchen facility. In the kitchen area is a clothes washer/dryer, electric fan oven and grill, dish washer, larder fridge with small icebox, micowave, gas hob, toaster, kettle and sink with drainer. There is a hairdryer in the bedroom. Rich rugs, local pictures and artwork make a really cosy cottage in the woods. Outside on your private terrace is a bbq and sun umbrella and seating for those warm south coast evenings after a walk or cycle in Friston Forest or to the sea at Cuckmere Haven in the Seven Sisters Country Park. There is a private drive to the cottages from opposite the church.
Each cottage has a double bedroom facing south and a bathroom with overbath shower. Up to 2 foldaway beds can be placed in the sitting room area and we can also provide a cot and high chair. The sitting area has FreeSat TV, DVD and CD players. A wireless router with free internet access on broadband is on 24/7 -Vista unadvisable. Mobile 'phone signal on O2 and Virgin good, Vodaphone and Orange poor.
